Rust Developer

I’m helping Nublit find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Rust Developer.

You'll engineer high-impact streaming and concurrency services, driving digital transformation with Rust.

Compensation:

USD 25 - 35/hour

+ Overtime (USD30/hour)

Location:

Remote (anywhere)

What makes you a strong candidate:

• You are proficient in gRPC, Unit testing, Streaming, REST API, Concurrency.
• You are a novice in WebAssembly.
• Spanish - Conversational

Responsibilities and more:

Experience:

- At least 2-3 years with Rust at a professional level.

- Desirable experience in C++.

- Broad understanding of Borrowing, Ownership, & Mutexes, Race conditions, Memory leak-safe, Tokyo.

- Experience in algebraic error management: Enums, Error operators, unwrap, ThisError, AnyHow.

- Experience in Memory safety, pattern matching, and zero-cost abstractions, Tokyo will be valued.

Conditions:

- Desirable to live in CDMX, and can be a Junior. If from another country, it is mandatory to be a Senior.

- One day of home office will be provided if working in person, after 2 months, at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.

- If from another country, it is mandatory to work on Mexico's schedule and align with Mexican holidays.

Soft Skills:

- Good communication.

- Medium assertiveness.

- Liking and habit of research, supported by tools for this (GEN AI, Forums, etc.).

- Proactive in problem-solving.

Tasks:

- Analysis of architectural engineering in high-impact streaming and concurrency services - document.

- Design and code products in Rust with gRPC, API Rest.

- Validation of component architecture with other developers.

- Document code and functionalities in a timely and correct manner.

- Testing of unit applications.

- Design unit tests for all implemented functionalities.

- Coordinate with other components and developers on usage to complement their developments.

Mandatory:

- Experience with Claude AI.
