The Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, tracking, and maintaining all project-related documents within the Operations Department. The role ensures that engineering, technical, commercial, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, and project correspondence documents are properly controlled, distributed, archived, and readily accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities• Maintain and update project document control systems and registers.
• Manage the receipt, distribution, tracking, and filing of all project documents.
• Control revisions and ensure the latest approved documents are available to project teams.
• Prepare and issue transmittals, correspondence, and document status reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors regarding document submissions and approvals.
• Maintain records of shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, and as-built documents.
• Monitor document approval status and follow up on outstanding submissions.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and document control standards.
• Support project close-out activities by compiling and archiving final project documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and accessibility of all project records.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3–6 years of experience in plumbing works within construction / MEP projects
Prior experience in UAE projects is preferred
Familiarity with UAE authority requirements (DM, DEWA, ADDC, etc.).
