Paid Internship, 15-20 hours per week (Part-Time)

THE JOB
Ticketmaster’s Global Education and Training team is in search of a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic student who is interested in learning more about the application of educational best practices and instructional design in a fast paced, globally focused business environment.
Our teams are accountable for quality product education, cultivating market expertise, and supporting product and feature launches. They utilize global standards across all products in the design, development and delivery of all materials and offerings with the goal of a unified experience that empowers clients to utilize resources at scale to train staff efficiently, optimize product usage, and grow their product knowledge.
This is a project-based internship, and under the supervision of the Lead Trainer, Global Training Projects, as well as in collaboration with other leaders and individual contributors across the team (and in other countries), you’ll work to re-design, develop, and implement the framework for our internal education platform and build a strategy around its growth and long-term utilization.
Specifically, we are looking for an instructional design or learning experience design student interested in utilizing a consultative approach to:
- conduct needs analysis.
- create content and assets that align across our user journeys.
As a Global Education and Training intern, you can expect to develop transferrable work skills and experience to make you competitive in the new job market. You’ll also be able to produce work examples for your personal portfolio.
WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF TRAINED EMPLOYEES
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
- Develop a client-centric mentality.
- Exposure to corporate metrics and data
- Understand ethics, compliance, and business conduct pertaining to the industry.
- Understand time management requirements when working with individuals or clients/teams.
- Understand how large companies function and communicate.
- Learn new Ticketmaster Products and learning from the staff in product adoption and training.
- Gain exposure to Ticketmaster senior leadership staff.
- Develop & observe presentation skills.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Develop planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Develop team-based work competencies such as Accountability, Teamwork & Service Excellence.
- Increase knowledge of computer skills and technology.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
- Be working toward a degree in Education, Instructional Technology or Design, UX, or related fields is preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older and have junior standing or above.
- Must be able to commit to a minimum internship schedule of 20 hours per week and a maximum of 30 hours per week with some availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Be detail-oriented.
- Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks.
- The ability to conduct yourself in a professional matter at all times.
- The ability to learn and absorb at a fast pace.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with some of the following: Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere/Camtasia, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, HTML, Captivate/Storyline, Salesforce, and Confluence. Confluence or wiki-based experience will be prioritized.
- Experience with visual design principles including images, graphics, and video.
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
