A Structural Design engineer is required on a permanent basis for this structural consultancy in central Leeds. They work on a broad range of projects and supply both building structures and Civil engineering solutions. Projects cover commercial, residential, mixed use, Public use and sporting/leisure. They cover both new build and refurbishment and are renowned for their speed and creativity of design.

They are looking for a structural design level engineer to join their design team under the guidance of a Principal engineer to work with him on their broad range of building structures projects. You will be joining a large design team and will be responsible for designing in all traditional materials across a wide range of project types.

Job Scope:

• Carry out structural design and produce professional engineering calculation complying to Eurocodes and prevailing building control regulations
• Attending technical meetings with authorities, developer, and contractors
• Prepare technical engineering reports as and when required by authorities or client

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as Design Engineer in building construction
• Willing to and with enthusiasm to learn in the eld of civil & structural engineering design
• Knowledge with Revit Structure is an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed shop job/working drawings (Architectural/Structural) to aid project construction.
2. Coordinate and rectify errors in plans and specifications with Architects/Engineers/M&E.
3. Assist site colleagues in providing timely and accurate shop drawings for construction.

The Design Executive reports to the Senior Design Manager and is responsible for creating, interfacing and facilitating design drawings throughout projects' life cycles based on contract drawings and latest information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate design drawings using BIM and CAD technologies for building construction
• Liaise and coordinate with main contractor(s) and other trades for cross-team support on BIM software
• Ensure all models are compatible and BIM data are made available to all project participants
