The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day technical functions and operations in the Physics Department, providing technical and engineering related assistance throughout a large, busy and diverse selection of research laboratories, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient operation throughout the area.

Summary:

Performs technical laboratory work in a scientific research laboratory. • Maintains the charge master in accordance with the organization’s Charge Description Master Policy by incorporating new charges/services identified by departments, third-party changes, special requirements, coding updates and applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
•  Maintains an audit trail of charge master changes, communicates these changes to the departments that will be impacted.
• Evaluates departmental CDM requests to ensure that all additions, changes, and deletions are consistent with proper change and coding practices.

Pfizer’s Machine Learning Hub is seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced machine learning researcher to design and implement new machine learning tools to accelerate drug discovery. As a member of our Machine Learning Research team, you will design new approaches to derive insights from Pfizer’s proprietary data and external datasets to generate testable hypotheses across the drug discovery continuum with a focus on extracting biological knowledge. The individual will also design, establish, and manage internal and external collaborations to advance Pfizer’s ML capabilities. The ideal candidate should have an outstanding scientific reputation in the field of machine learning research for computational biology and a demonstrated passion for solving biological problems relevant to drug discovery. Role Responsibilities

Principal downstream application domains include indication expansion, target identification, disease mechanism elucidation, and partnering with practitioners in these areas to advance the state-of-the-art.

The Cornell Stable Isotope Laboratory (COIL) is a world class analytical facility housed in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. The primary mission of COIL is to support Cornell researchers and students through sample preparation and analyses of stable light isotopes of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, and hydrogen and the development of methodologies related to the analysis of stable isotopes.  Secondly, we support sample analysis for external users from other academic institutions and government agencies such as the United States Geological Survey and the Environmental Protection Agency.

• Work with Production to determine line/equipment reliability issues; provide regular feedback on line/equipment status and estimated time to repair.

• Safely use maintenance hand/power tools and test equipment.

• Technical: Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to fill and package products in accordance with standards and procedures (cGMP, SOPs, etc.).

• Perform technical setup of line/equipment for daily operation, according to SOP for assigned work area.

• Maintain aseptic personnel certification, and practice good aseptic techniques in performance of duties.

• Assist plant engineers in new equipment startups and engineering changes.

• Support training of new coworkers, and share knowledge and experience with coworkers to develop team’s overall capability.

Accountabilities:

•    Perform daily functions in the lens processing pilot line including basic knowledge of molding, fill/close, curing, de-molding, hydration, extraction and inspection in compliant and efficient manner.
•    Perform manufacturing batch record review.
•    Carry out essential tasks of Pilot Line Technician as required maintaining production schedule adherence and efficiencies. These essential tasks include: Monomer and solution prep manufacture; Set up and running of Dry molding lines, Metrology testing in the Dry area, Operation of the Fill and close Module, Operation of the curing process, Process lens molds through the demolding/delensing process, Prepare and set up the hydration tanks and follow lenses through the hydration and extraction process, Perform lens inspections per procedure and training certification, Perform Final QC testing, Perform Lens Sectioning.
•    Provide basic maintenance to lens manufacturing equipment.
•    Complete all necessary inventories and documentation for lens processing.
•    Responsible for inventory of the number of lenses processed.
•    Complete all documentation following the lenses throughout the manufacturing process.
•    Prepare select lenses for clinical trials.
•    Verify lenses are manufactured according to documented procedures.
•    Complete all necessary documentation to support both clinical and non-clinical pilot production
•    Assist with any additional projects assigned by Cross functional teams.

Facilities Project Management Information System Analyst

Key Role:

Lead the development of client facilities and infrastructure project management information systems throughout the design and construction life cycle via creative approaches which achieve preferred functional end-states. The Leidos Innovations Center is looking for a Principal Research Scientist in the area of Machine Learning (ML) who has a proven track record in developing technology-based approaches that yield novel, innovative capabilities while advancing the state of the art. 

Primary Responsibilities
The principal research scientist will serve in the role of principal investigator on contract R&D and internal R&D programs, engaging R&D customers and transition partners to develop new business opportunities and leading teams of researchers and engineers in the development, adaptation, and extension of innovative ML-based approaches and solutions across a range of technical areas and application domains, for diverse and often disparate types of data and complexity, and for projects that are inherently both fundamental and applied in nature. 

The innovative technical solutions will advance the state of the art in machine learning and/or artificial intelligence while addressing long-term problems of importance to national security.  As such, candidates should have successful, proven, and demonstrable experience leading proposals and winning competitive research and development efforts, and then leading high-performing teams in the development and integration of software-based solutions for customers such as DARPA and other branches of the Department of Defense. 

The Principal ML Research Scientist will also have a hands-on roll and is expected to customize and create various machine learning algorithms to operate over multi-domain data and optimizing the performance of those algorithms on the data.  They will develop automation to extract and prepare features from multi-domain datasets. They will adapt NLP libraries/toolkits that include transformer models like BERT and ChatGPT, as well as Stanford CoreNLP, Spacy, NLTK, Word2Vec, and Gensim.

Basic Qualifications

• M.S degree in Electrical Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field. (Ph.D. is preferred)
