We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. The Challenge

We are looking for a QA Tester to assess our software & game quality through manual testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases, test plans and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

What You Can Expect To Work On

• Create, execute test cases and analyze results to help ensure the quality of the product
• Develop and follow test plans efficiently 
• Create logs to document testing phases, defects, and track bugs
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Proactively demonstrate  initiative, and help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

What You Need to Succeed

• Experience: Proven experience with a minimum of 2 year work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Technical Skills : Familiar with project management and QA methodologies, as well as software like Jira, Notion, Asana, Shotgun, Excel, Project, Confluence, or equivalents 
• Communication : Ability to communicate with stakeholders and the team as a whole in an effective and concise manner
• People Management: Able to work as part of a team, and proven record of cross functional collaboration
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mind, Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude

In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

What You Can Expect To Work On

• Lead a team of game testers and provide guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the testing process.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and strategies to ensure thorough and efficient testing of our games.
• Coordinate with the development team to understand game requirements, features, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate and manage external QA outsourcers.
• Plan and schedule testing activities, assigning tasks to team members, and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines are met.
• Perform hands-on testing of games across various platforms and devices to identify bugs, glitches, and other issues.
• Document and track bugs using bug tracking software, ensuring clear and concise communication with the development team.
• Provide detailed reports and feedback on game performance, gameplay experience, and potential improvements.
• Collaborate with designers, programmers, and artists to address and resolve identified issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in game testing and quality assurance.
• Conduct regular training sessions for the testing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of new game testers.

What You Need to Succeed

• Experience: Proven experience with a minimum of 5 year work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role with experience in leading and releasing titles on Apple AppStore and GooglePlay store.
• Technical Skills : Familiar with project management and QA methodologies, as well as software like Jira, Notion, Asana, Shotgun, Excel, Project, Confluence, Unreal Engine, Unity or equivalents

Relevant Work experience:

·        3+ years of Games Quality Assurance experience

·        1 - 2 years of proven leadership skills. Experience of leading/ mentoring QA teams

·        Functionality testing experience across entire testing lifecycle

JD for QA Tester:

Relevant Work experience:

·        6+ months of Games Quality Assurance experience.

·        Basic knowledge of manual testing on PC/ Console/ Mobile video games.

·        Knowledge on defects reporting and providing feedback to enhance the user experience.

·        Experience on executing test cases and usage of tools like TestRail.

Skill Required:

·        Ability to work either independently or in a team and with other colleagues, sometimes under pressure to meet deadlines.

·        Gaming experience on one or more platforms

·        The ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

About the team

The team is responsible for providing practical decision support solutions to address business objectives in the areas of risk prevention and fraud detection. The role

As a Senior QA engineer you will be responsible for the software testing and test automation based on the requirements delivered from the business, ensuring that functionality of the system developed in-house is fully tested to meet the high standards of quality expected by the business.

What you will do

As part of an Agile development team:

• Be part of next gen product teams here in Kuala Lumpur, build up product know-how knowledge and automation capability to gate keep quality of features and enhancement delivery are of high quality and meeting product acceptance criteria
• Actively participate in a team based agile ceremonies and work closely with software engineers, product owners, architects and designers to ensure deliverables are meeting quality and performance target
• Create, maintain, deliver and document manual and automated test suites built to validate the specification at multiple layers of application to a high standard
• Create and review test acceptance criteria for all tasks during sprint planning/ grooming
• Reduce risk through clear analysis of designs & stories, tailored reporting and clear line management and stakeholder escalation
• Identify and manage defects within project with a view of preventing customer facing issues

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of Test Analysis and acceptance criteria process
• Understanding of TDD or BDD framework (Gherkin language)
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium/ Cucumber/ Serenity etc
• Experience with functional test, and integration test (is a must)
• Experience with setting up the test automation framework, test process would be an advantage
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Team city
• Hands-on experience with Non-functional testing such as Performance, Security etc., would be an advantage
