Shipping Responsibilities:
1. Coordinating and following up on incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries with suppliers and forwarders.
2. Liaising with forwarders, shipping agents, customs, relevant government authorities, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of shipments.
3. Proficiency in handling customs forms and other documentation related to shipping procedures and tariff codes.
4. Advising and providing solutions to the Manager on shipment-related issues, working closely with forwarders/agents, customs officers, and relevant government authorities (e.g., DOH).
5. Comparing freight charges and recommending the best options for approval.
6. Checking and confirming customs declaration forms.
7. Preparing and internally distributing packing lists and arrival notices to all relevant parties.
8. Computing on-cost for each shipment upon arrival.
9. Proper filing of shipment clearance records, purchasing and inventory records.
10. Ensure labelling compliance of importation and food regulation.
Purchasing & Inventory Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining and updating inventory information for all items in the inventory system.
2. Liaising with local and overseas suppliers for order placement.
3. Sourcing products and coordinating order replenishment.
4. Assisting in warehouse and inventory control.
