• Coordinate with Onboarding CRMs to ensure customers receive best in class onboarding process and white glove service to meet their needs throughout the adoption phase. Ensure the EAM remains the face to the customer through approvals.
• Provide advisory expertise to customer to help develop international expansion plans through industry knowledge & client experience

Key requirements:

Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director of National Retail & Strategic Accounts within the Mobile division, the Director of Channel Marketing for National Retail & Strategic Accounts for New Computing and Mobile Enhancement categories will be responsible for establishing and running a team of marketers responsible for supporting channel marketing strategy and execution (e.g. big box brick and mortar national retailers, pure player retailers like Amazon, strategic accounts like Xfinity, etc.) leads in achieving specific channel objectives in relation to New Computing and Mobile Enhancement categories. More specifically, the team will be responsible for establishing common processes for developing new through partner marketing programs while creating integrated marketing campaigns in partnerships with each channel driving the growth of Samsung’s New Computing and Mobile Enhancement portfolios.

Your Work Location

As our Director, Corporate Accounts , you will be a remote based associate, working from your home. You will be required to connect virtually with Choice team members and leadership on video via Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams, with possible periodic travel in-person to our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide offices in Rockville, MD or Scottsdale, AZ. Frequent nationwide travel will be required.

Leads a team of IDN Directors required to maintain and grow Owens & Minor’s Enterprise customer relationships for assigned accounts, drive revenue growth through expansion of market share, and margin enhancement.  Develops the strategic business plan for assigned region and is accountable for delivery of annual objectives.  Partners with functional leaders to drive bi-directional competitive intelligence, market intelligence, forecasting and retention and growth strategies.

• Develops, implements, and measures effectiveness of IDN teams ability to drive strategic customer engagement for assigned accounts.
• Holds team accountable to:
  • Identify key account decision-making structure, and develop corporate relationships.
  • Understand the customer life cycle and contract time frame.
  • Coordinate needs and opportunity assessments across accounts.
  • Maintain regular communications with key decision makers at assigned accounts, measuring customer satisfaction and developing strategies to improve. Provide comprehensive account support for assigned accounts. 
  • Handle all Enterprise-wide support issues (e-Business, pricing, contract terms, etc.).
  • Work with Customer Service and Account Management teams to handle order and site support issues (quotes, shipment/freight, order support, backorders, etc.).
  • Support Owens & Minor shared services teams with Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Finance issues.
  • Maintains full responsibility and accountability for contract compliance for assigned region.
  • Oversees and approves all RFPs for assigned accounts. 
  • Ensures each team member develops new business plan within assigned accounts.  Each IDN Director required to:
    • Develop share gain strategy and execution plans for assigned accounts.
    • Ensure sales accurately maintains and tracks account business development in CRM software. Communicate business development plan, action, and progress with Managing Director, AVP and RSD.
    • Lead Business Development reviews with Sales leadership to review strategy and progress.
  • Provides forecasting information for assigned region.
    • Develops and justifies forecasting information and account potential assessments.
    • Utilizes internal and external sources to formulate accurate assessments (Sales/Business Development/Marketing teams, Customer, etc.).
  • Oversees the  customer business review process for assigned region.
    • Holds team accountable to conducts business reviews per quarterly/per customer requirements for assigned accounts
  • Ensures full utilization of Owens & Minor specialist and suport teams in support of assigned accounts and region.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.  Concentration in Sales & Marketing, Business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare, or other related discipline preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in Business to Business Sales, Account Management, Healthcare Supply Chain and Healthcare Products or a related industry.
• Five(5) or more years of experience in people management at Director level and above.
• Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirements.

• Strong understanding of advanced selling techniques, including strategic selling, team selling and consultative/conceptual selling and negotiation tactics
• Understanding of the use of CRM technology (Salesforce.com)
• Ability to deliver effective presentations to internal and external customers
• Ability to create successful sales strategies for Owens & Minor products/services
• Demonstrated pipeline development with a strong ability to reach the purchase decision-maker
• Demonstrated negotiation and persuasive abilities with strong sales closure skills
