The 6 Month Internship program is a full-time role for six months beginning either December 2023 through June 2024 or May 2024 through January 2025. We require candidates hired for this program commit to employment for the full 6 month term, as this may require you to take a semester off from school. This is an office-based position for our office location in Armonk, NY. You will be immersed in the operations of your assigned area, exposed to many aspects of the business and many of the basic functions of the company. Over your six months at IBM, you will gain a unique and in-depth understanding of the business and what makes it work. Your Role and Responsibilities As a Business Analyst (Intern) at IBM, you will have the opportunity for hands-on, on-the-job learning by supporting our Senior Business Analyst in the following day-to-day activities: Engage and manage both internal and external client stakeholders Have overall accountability to ensure high quality and timely solution delivery Conduct workshops and analyze business processes to gather requirements (functional and non-functional) using Agile methodology Perform gap analysis and recommend optimal solutions with COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) packages or software development products, or a combination of both Act as the bridge between the design and technical team to facilitate conflict resolutions and implement the business requirements as digital products and features Analyze and develop reporting, interfacing/integration, and data migration requirements Develop and maintain documentation such as Requirements Traceability Matrix, User Stories, Service Blueprint, Functional Design / Specifications, Report Specifications, Interface Specifications Recommend and ensure compliance with customer's audit and IT security policy requirements such as Separation of Duties, Data Security, User Access Control, and governance. Provide the testing and quality team with acceptance criteria for the products and services to be delivered and facilitate the end-to-end testing and acceptance of the project Work with the Solution Architect and Release Manager to ensure the business solution is in line with the recommended roadmap.
