Role Summary

Established in 2017, this is the newest stream to our Graduate Talent Program. The program is 24 months in length. During this period, you will undertake rotations (selected accounting and finance department) in our Malaysia Global Development and Delivery Centre's Finance Division. Finance Graduate will take on real positions from day one, with actual responsibilities. You will also spend a significant amount of time on key change projects. This program will provide you comprehensive knowledge of our finance operations and a solid understanding of the core business, by exposing you to different functions within finance.

We are looking into rotating to a different role between 6-9 months however, you may stay longer in your current role depending on your interest and performance. Duration

• 24 months

Upon successful completion of the program, you will then go through a selection process to be offered exciting job opportunities according to business needs, based on your career aspirations and performance during the program.

 

As a Development Manager you will be responsible for leading your delivery team, typically consisting of around six [six to eight] developers. You will lead the team in designing, developing and maintaining software programs in according to requirements and specifications, established or defined quality and performance standards, and within delivery timelines. This is achieved through providing technical leadership and guidance, coaching and mentoring, and leading and motivating

• To lead a team of software developers (including oneself) to design, develop and maintain software programs:-

1. According to requirements and specifications.
2. Within established or defined quality and performance standards.
3. Within agreed upon delivery timelines.

• Line management of team members, including:-

1. Work allocation and progress monitoring, and to take corrective measures if necessary.
2. Problem resolution or escalation.
3. Leading and motivating staff to achieve peak productivity.
4. Evaluating performance and making recommendations.
5. Management of administrative work such as team leave management and timesheet submission.

• Lead in consultation with Project Managers and team members in estimating effort for work assigned to the team.
• Organize and facilitate regular progress meeting for work assigned to the team.
• Ensuring job satisfaction and a career development framework for team members. This includes developing team members’ career plans, identifying team members’ training needs, and monitoring team members’ career development and progress.
• Working closely with the other Senior Development Manager and the Head of Development to help set and implement overall development team strategy, and to lead in initiatives that improve processes and/or procedures that contribute to performance effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance of the projects/programmes your team works on, and liaising with Project Managers, Product Analysts, QA Project Leads and others to ensure successful delivery of the same.
• Communicate work progress and all (work related) pertinent information in an accurate and timely manner to the Head of Development.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

About the Role

Responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of AIA's information systems and cyber environment

• Develop AIA's information technology security procedures and overall cyber security framework
• Evaluate, test, recommend, coordinate, monitor and maintain IT security policies, procedures and systems including access management for both hardware and software
• Design, implement and troubleshoot various information systems and cyber security software to identify security risks and exposures
• Determine the causes of security violations and suggest procedures to halt future incidents
• Conduct evaluation and testing of hardware and software for possible impact on system security
• Investigate and resolve security incidents such as intrusion, frauds, cyber attacks or data leakage

About the Role

Provide quality and timely support of the Group’s financial reporting functions (such as day to day accounting function, financial statements preparation and provide support to local business divisions on financial reporting related tasks) in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations.

• Lead the team to perform review and consolidate submissions from local business units for various external and internal reporting requirements
• Ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Group Office timely, accurately,
• Ensure information received from the local business units aligns with Group standards
• Support the Group financial reporting and analysis matters timely and satisfactory response on all queries to enable business decisions.
• Support and coordinate with various departments in rolling out activities like development, design, and implementation in relation to preparation of templates and financial statements to improve current processes and overall efficiency of the team.
• Develop and recommend areas for enhancements and improvements for the current systems and processes to meet the challenges and needs of stakeholders.
• Responsible to update Business Process Manuals, Control Checklist, Roles and Responsibilities Document and Training Materials as and when new improvement identified, implemented and communicated, and at least on an annual basis.
• Provide mentorship, guidance and support to team members in performing their tasks.
• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet financial reporting and/or other requirements.
• Support the Senior Manager in resource planning, including budgeting and monitoring, recruitment and training, employee engagement and development, performance reviews and appraisals, and succession planning.
• Encourage team members to stay updated on IFRS and/or Regulatory developments

Job requirements:

• Degree holder in Accountancy with professional qualification in ACCA or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big-size accounting firm
• 4 + years of supervisory or management experience in the above position

About the Role

Assist in managing a team of Claims processors, checkers and assessors to process claims transactions within the required benchmarks and in line with the Company and department goals

Job Responsibilities: ​

• Effectively handles and supervises team members in line with company policies and procedures, including those who are achieving personal work objectives and those who are under performing.

• Assist in planning resources to support day to day business needs by forecasting volume and arranging overtime where required.

Job Requirements:

• Open experienced Senior Medical Claims Assessor, experience in leading team would be added advantage.

• A recognized tertiary Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, and Medical Science, Social Science, Business Management or equivalent qualifications.

• Fluent in spoken English & Chinese. Candidate with proficiency to converse in Mandarin / Cantonese would be an added advantage. Passing SPM Chinese subject is a MUST.

• Self-motivated and customer orientated.

• Time management skills.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office.

• Good commitment at work, good attitude, willing to learn.

• Able to adapt desk-bound working environment, working shift including weekend on rotation basis & able to work overtime beyond normal office hour (including weekend & public holiday).

• The role is required to follow Hong Kong working calendar.
