- Maintaining current knowledge and answers questions from employees on procedures, policies, directives, etc.
- Reviewing operational processes and functions to determine that internal controls are functionally adequate to safeguard sensitive information and funds.
- Developing and refining processes, both as a customer and with stakeholders
- Tracking and addressing issues impacting deposits with Federal Reserve Bank (FRB); and root-cause analysis and solutioning.
- Testing new equipment, software, and processes to determine adequacy and breadth of organizational impact.
- Examining complex cases to determine and explain how check proceeds were adjudicated.
- Serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for check and mail processing procedures.
- Reviewing potential transactions for errors.
- Assisting supervisor with planning, scheduling, preparing, and assigning daily workflow for both the mail processing and check processing teams.
- Establishing and adjusting unit priorities and allocates resources based on ever-changing priorities within the Organization.
- Exercising general oversight of staff workload and ensures that shipping resources such as envelopes and metered postage are available.
