About the Role
You will lead, in partnership with the business partners to ensure that all Risk and Compliance risk areas are efficiently and effectively assessed, mitigated and controlled with reference to the best working approaches and standards of AIA Group and its Business Units.
- Responsible for the overall design, implementation and ongoing improvement of organization’s Risk and Compliance Programme that is focused on sound governance of an operations shared services entity whilst ensuring its alignment with Business and Strategic objectives of the Group
- Lead the implementation of an effective compliance and risk assessment programme for organization and engage with key business partners which includes:-
1) working with business divisions and functions (e.g. Group and/or
Business Partner, Internal and External Audit, Finance, Risk and
Compliance, and Legal) to build up and / or implement a risk control
framework and provide quality and solutions-focused advice on risk
and control issues relevant to the business functions for advised
decision-making on compliance and ethics matters
2) Develop and implement an effective education programme through
ongoing communication and training to embed a risk culture within
organization
- Represent organization in Group Risk and Compliance initiatives through active participation and liaison work
- Develop relevant Risk and Compliance policies and procedures to support the objectives and values of organization
- Communicate Risk and Compliance matters including timely and accurate reporting and/or issue of such matters in accordance with relevant reporting and protocols
- Conduct compliance and risk reviews on business functions and provide strong support to the monitoring programme and assurance on the implementation of remedial actions on any non-compliance issues
- Develop structural approach to effectively look after suspected instances of compliance policy violations by employees, from receiving allegations to planning and conducting investigations
- Lead, develop and ensure effectiveness of the local organization Risk and Compliance function, to support delivery of their objectives and requirements
Job Requirements:-
- Strong work experience in the financial industry handling compliance and/or controls
- In-depth understanding of the Insurance business preferred and, in lieu of insurance, financial services
- Excellent command of English (both written and oral)
- Engaging speaker and with excellent interpersonal skills
- Independent and able to handle pressure
- Must be well organised, meticulous and analytical
- With high level of integrity and ownership and accountability of result
