The role reports to the Global Network Operations Programs Group (GNOP) which executes the company’s strategy by identifying and managing programs of change that enable Global Network Operations to achieve service excellence and operational efficiency.

Role Purpose

The role is to ensure a sound understanding of various project requirements and associated effects of changes to Global Network Operations that support the business in achieving the goals and objectives set. You manage projects in terms of scope, costs, resources, and overall deliver to objectives and goals.

You take strong ownership of a specific business process areas and the development road map to achieve both tactical and strategic objectives. The role combines project/product management skills with subject matter expertise to translate quickly developing business demands into the right IT and business solutions and/or process.

Responsibility

• Influence, manage or motivate the direct/indirect team members including project work objectives, performance and management where required.
• Ensure business groups are supportive of identified changes, involved, informed and all necessary decisions carried into the development of new/better processes and systems.
• Manage a global, virtual team drawn from Operations, IT and other in support of the project objectives.
• Ensure that products/solutions are properly signed off and accepted, then deployed into the relevant processes, with strong follow-up as needed.
• Lead and manage the development of solutions that meet the project and/or change requirements. This may include multiple work-streams on a project.
• Take strong ownership of a specific business process area and the development road map to achieve both tactical and strategic objectives.
• Determine organization structure, roles and responsibility and performance targets for the programs.

Requirements

• Professional Project Management certification preferred. (e.g. PRINCE2).
• Business Degree OR equivalent experience.
• Certification or experience in requirements analysis/gathering, process definition and related work.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, including 2-3 years’ project/program management
• Exposure to Business process, analysis and testing.
• Experience in managing process and requirements development.
• Experience across country and regional level with Global Experience preferred.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Delivery, you will drive the definition of solutions, products and applications that are fit for purpose both functionally and technically. In this role, you need to ensure that solutions are delivered with the right technology and best possible design for the given scope. You will be the subject matter expert on product/applications in the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• To provide project update regularly against project plan to ensure visibility of project progress to ensure project completion in time and on budget.
• Translate business requirements to local business applications.
• To provide technical support to local business applications and liaise with ITS counterpart for EGAP application supports.
• To review the change request, implement and maintain approved local applications and reports according to changing business needs.
• To adhere to change management process.
• Provide requested ad hoc services on application.
• Provide training and advice of core/local applications to users.
• Liaise with third party software/hardware services providers as an extension of software development/support resources.
• To coordinate EGAP and local application deployments.
• To provide guidance and coach junior IT staff.
• To actively track priority service related incidents and ensure root cause analysis is coordinated avoiding recurrence of issues.
• Develop business applications using flexible methodology (SDLC) but ensure quality of deliverable.
• Provide technical support to users based on service level agreement.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Services (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years IT and business experience, preferably in logistics industry
• 3 years’ experience with Business or Systems Analysis responsibilities
• Proactive and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong teamwork / collaboration skills with good oral and written communication skills
• Broad understanding of business operations

Technical expertise in:

• Knowledge of all DHL core/local applications and expert in some of them (will be an advantage)
• Digitalization skill sets (e.g. Agile, cloud, RPA, analytics, Figma)
• Some knowledge in telecommunications and networking

As an Application Engineer, your role purpose is to:

• Support the APEC Digitalization Council (DigiCouncil) Chairperson to shape the region's digitalization agendas
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Backend Development for APEC Digitalization Projects
• Support Digi Manager in Design Thinking & Agile Initiatives for APEC's Digitalization Projects
• Help proliferate the adoption of new digitalization skillsets in APEC

Key tasks include:

1) To support the APEC Digitalization Council (DigiCouncil) Chairperson to shape the region's digitalization agendas

• to support the Digi Council Chairperson and Digitalization Program Manager to deliver Proof-of-Concepts (POCs; following APEC Campfire Framework) shortlisted for its regionalization potential

2) To serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Backend Development for APEC Digitalization Projects

• to support the Digitalization Program Manager to integrate with Backend Data either newly created or from DHL existing backend servers
• to develop server-side capabilities that facilitates connections between frontend and backend
• to function as a practitioner with an understanding and a keen sense of implementing backend technologies - APIs, Database, Middleware

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge and experience in developing process automation solutions using Power Apps, including creating custom connectors and using Canvas and Model-Driven Apps.
• Experience with Microsoft Flow (Power Automate) for workflow automation.
• Proficiency in web page development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
• Strong skills in designing and implementing data visualizations using Power BI.
• Familiarity with database design and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.

• Perform requirement analysis of the System Program and consult with management team with facts supported by research and market analysis

Role Purpose:

• Coordinate and drive the sustainable resolution of AR issues between customer management, business units and the customers in order to reduce overall outstanding.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Issue Resolution (short term - corrective action)

• Regularly review existing reporting to prioritize where to act and escalate
• Ensure action on overdue receivables for quick payment (mainly through BU)
• Facilitate escalation and tracking of issue resolution (at invoice level if needed)
• Review AR customer cases, uncover root causes and initiate improvement projects
• Initiate A/R improvement activities to be driven by business unit
• Directly lead selected key projects, leveraging First Choice / Six Sigma tools
• Follow up on escalation process and ensure credit stop is approved by all relevant stakeholders

2. Continuous Improvement (mid term - preventive action)

• Trigger structural process improvements within the business units to avoid repetitive root causes for non-payment
• Leverage best practices across accounts, regions, countries and business units
• Continuous improvement of reporting quality within BU and CSI with shift from reactive to proactive A/R management

3. Stakeholder Management

• Act as point of contact between Customer Manager, Business Unit, Finance and Customer
• Close alignment and leveling of workload with counterparts in other regions, Regional / Global CFO and Global Functional Lead

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Logistics, Finance and related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum professional experience of 2-5 years in accounts receivables management or payables management.
• Project management, stakeholder management and virtual team management skills.
• Business acumen and understanding of key financial and commercial principles.
• Prior experience with finance/account receivables a plus.
• Experience working in multi-cultural, global and remote teams.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• First Choice / Six Sigma.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all operational and performance tracking / management tools aspects for a successful deployment of performance tracking tools/systems are in place or planned in detail prior to and during the readiness and implementation phase
• Deliver consistent implementations across each assigned site within the region to ensure each site within the program scope has a standard DSC performance tracking/management solution
• Work with IT to establish the integration/extract from source systems (i.e. WMS/T&A systems.)
• Work with IT to ensure all necessary hardware is in place for the implementation (i.e. Printers, PCs, Scanners)
• Complete analysis of data to highlight and detail areas where source systems are not providing data in the correct format or detail.
• Define, analyze and then map all effective processes in detail in preparation for application of standards
• Creation of warehouse/location mapping where applicable to a sufficient level of detail ensuring future flexibility to enable effective maintenance whilst providing the platform for accurate standards to be built.
• Deliver effective training and knowledge transfer to site users and others on use of the performance tracking tools/systems, interpretation, maintenance and issue resolution.
• In case of discrete standards define the detailed requirements, by job or task for Industrial engineering. Complete required work studies or manage a contractor accordingly.
• Incorporate lessons learned from previous implementations. Document areas of opportunity either in process or equipment and share with site teams.
• Highlight and escalate any slippage or changes to the implementation plan on site in order to action appropriate measures.
• Highlight and define any interface or DHL Link work that may be required. Additionally, should any WMS modifications be required, highlight the requirements to IT and site manager
• Ensure that any risks and lessons learned are appropriately captured and communicated to regional OMS team
• Conduct health checks in line with sustainability models to ensure success of implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain related field
• Dynamic and goal orientated; enabling local teams to work accordingly to the regional plans
• Experience is needed to collaborate with ops managers across all levels within a country and drive adoption of company strategic systems, tools, and overall company OMS agenda
