Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Technical Project Director located in Batu Kawan, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Search for potential customer or potential project
• Specific customer management and communication.
• Lead the planning and implementation of an automation project
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Define project task and resource requirements
• Mange project resource allocation
• Plan and control project timelines
• Estimate project budget, and control the cost within the budget
• Collaboration with other functions to compliancy the law and rules (Information Security, Finance, EHS, ESD, CE, UL, etc.)

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Software-Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Has manufacturing process or automation development background is prior.
• A similar TPM role with a minimum of 10 years of experience in development & deployment for automation project or automatic product
• Proficiency in engineering software is a plus (C++, LabView, PLC, SolidWorks, Robot, etc.)
• Project planning & schedule control & quality control & project management
• Estimate project cost, and implement project to control the cost within the budget
• System verification in whole development process with good abilities of troubleshooting & high-quality awareness
• Data analysis and reporting.
• Know DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, CPK, GR&R, related assistance tools be plus
• Familiar related standard & system, like ISO9001, TS16949, EMS IPC-3 be plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The incumbent is responsible for leading Abbott Nutrition’s supply chain operations from demand planning to order fulfillment.  He/she ensures the effective and efficient execution of daily and long-term operation, including but not limited to project management, demand planning, supply planning, importations, third party manufacturing, customer service, inventory management, and warehousing and distribution.

As a key leader in the organization, the incumbent is expected to lead supply chain strategic initiatives and best practices to support business strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive forecast accuracy through effective demand planning processes and data optimization
• Direct supply planning strategies, initiatives and methodologies to optimize inventory levels
• Ensure compliance to product quality and safety standards, policies and procedures and specifications for raw materials, productions processes and finished goods inventory
• Manage full monthly supply situation and optimize supply utilization to ensure that sales targets and customer demands are met
• Development of contingency plans to manage identified gaps in supply chain.
• Develops Manufacturing/Distribution models to assess their impact to business strategies and annual plans.
• Direct the third party manufacturing activities to ensure the availability of quality outsourced stocks to meet demand
• Implement new technologies to implement efficiencies in supply chain operations
• Deliver Supply Chain KPIs

What you will do:

In this role, you report to the APAC Operational Excellence Leader and you are responsible to manage Operational Excellence workstreams across APAC. You will work with the P&Ls to drive end-to-end operational discipline. You will manage data consolidation for governance and performance management, ensuring excellence in execution while also partner with the P&Ls and the APAC team to manage risks identified along the way. This position has high visibility and will work closely with many levels of the organization from senior leaders to frontline managers.

How you will do it:

• Design and execute operational excellence workstreams in APAC, partnering with regions and functions

• Lead and facilitate L1 and L2 level deep-dive and problem solving sessions, while role modeling the right mindset and behaviors

• Conduct analysis and develop recommendations for operational improvements and cost optimization

• Identify and manage risks and opportunities across various categories. Partner with various parts of the organization to execute mitigation plans

• Develop and use trends and insights to forecast potential risks and to develop scenario planning

• Consolidate, validate and synthesize leading and lagging operational KPIs and data as required for Global & APAC reporting, supporting the Operational Excellence Leader on data consolidation, analysis and generation of actionable insights in the various programs

• Work with the APAC team as required to drive operational discipline through process deployment, governance and capability building
