Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Join the U.S. EH&S Fire Code Team to build and support fire safety programs for the world’s largest retailer. This role is critical as we continue to develop strategies for a first-class compliance program that effectively mitigates fire and regulatory risk in our retail business. You will support business partners in assessing risk, building corresponding controls, developing training and awareness programs, and assisting our design and engineering teams.
What you’ll do:
Coordinate with stakeholders to drive effective implementation of fire safety related initiatives
Partner with stakeholder groups to develop fire-related product attributes and manage proper storage practices
Build new fire and life safety programs
Manage fire system and fire code related projects
Partner with stores to mitigate fire code related concerns
Support Facilities Services with their efforts to resolve fire code deficiencies
Develop data analytics that drive continuous improvement
What you’ll bring:
Subject matter expert in fire code or fire safety
You are a fire protection or mechanical engineer
Significant project or construction management experience
A risk management related mindset that balances business needs and urgency when managing fire initiatives
Strong communication skills and are effective at simplifying technical issues
Experience working in cross-functional teams
A degree in a fire related field or have equivalent regulatory experience as a fire marshal or fire inspector
