JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Training Specialist - ARFF will assist with conducting service technical training needs with customers, including determination of appropriate training content. This role will use specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, and update training materials for customer training. This trainer will specialize in Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) and electrification service technical training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in leading service technical training instruction, both presentation based and hands on, to an audience of customers on various vehicle platforms.
- Assist in the curriculum development of course content by providing service technical support and vehicle knowledge.
- Participate in course content reviews and pilot courses.
- Provide feedback from customers on course content and vehicle support.
- Assist in training material updates by providing technical and procedural change information necessary to maintain currency of course materials.
- Understand and deliver information in alignment with Oshkosh policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Experience in heavy truck operation, maintenance, and technical service.
- Ability to travel 60 to 70% to customer locations domestically and occasional international travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- EVT certification.
- ASE certification.
- Knowledge and experience with fire apparatus vehicles.
- Experience conducting training to a variety of audiences.
