Job Title: HR Operations Specialist
Locations: India Bangalore (Hybrid)
Reports to: Manager, HR Operations
A quick snapshot…
The HR Operations Specialist provides operational support to the global People Partner Team and Center of Excellence (CoE). You’ll help with all People Operations activity including full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, triaging and providing day to day support to our colleagues on HR and benefit related items, developing, documenting, implementing, and updating the company’s HR policies and procedures, ensuring operations runs smoothly and efficiently, and proactively seeking process improvements in support of Conga’s growth objectives. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of internal HR data and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Why it’s a big deal…
By ensuring the People Team can carry out their day-to-day responsibilities, the HR Operations Specialist plays a critical role in identifying opportunities to standardize global processes and procedures (where possible) to help Conga quickly scale its operations. This role will partner very closely with People Partners, HRIS, and various CoE’s (compensation, benefits, global mobility, and talent acquisition).
Are you the person we’re looking for?
Related experience. You’re an HR professional with at least 2 years of experience in HR Operations or coordination of HR functional activities, with a flair for reporting, audits, and analytics. You have a problem-solving attitude and great people skills while being a quick learner. You have intermediate knowledge of Workday and Microsoft Office tools with the ability to create process flows and document operating procedures. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills allow you to easily draft letter templates and documentation.
Analytical thinker and creative problem solver. You’re able to see issues holistically and follow the flow of the stack to get to the root of the matter -- a key skill in this role. But where you really shine is your ability to identify creative solutions to unique business requirements. This is critical for ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner that meets or exceeds their expectations.
Quality oriented. You rarely make mistakes because you have good processes to ensure every detail is correct. But in those rare occasions when errors are realized (let’s face it, it happens to the best of us from time to time), you own them, correct them, learn from them, and then quickly adjust and communicate processes to ensure the same mistake doesn’t happen twice. It’s your transparency, authenticity, and humility that sets you apart.
Strong attention to detail. You are quick to notice patterns and create structure and repetitive processes to drive efficiency and scale for Conga.
Initiative. You do not wait around for things to happen or for your manager to tell you what to do. You’re not only proactive about completing your own work, but when you sense the need to introduce a project that will benefit the team or the organization -- even if it’s outside your scope of work -- you put a proposal together, talk to the team about it, and own it. And that also goes back to having an entrepreneurial spirit.
Champion of the Customer. You always try to balance your customer’s requests from the user perspective and balance automation, required customization and exceptions with scale in mind and minimization of errors/risks in the processes.
Here’s what will give you an edge…
Influence change. You take the initiative to understand the business’s needs and challenges, maybe more than they understand it themselves. You form quality, robust recommendations through the knowledge you acquire, data sources, and existing processes – and you use those recommendations to create scalable solutions that will help immediately and in the future. Because of the transparency, authenticity, humility, and knowledge you bring, your peers, partners, and business leaders trust the information you provide to influence key decisions.
Innovative Thinking. Our business is constantly evolving, and you should want to take the initiative to research new tactics. You enjoy finding new ways to improve processes and procedures and increase automation by leveraging our HRIS (Workday) and other HR Operation colleagues. You strive to standardize processes globally where possible.
Passion. We know it when we see it. Passion is not about saying how much you love what you do in your most excited voice. Passion is revealed in your truest self. It is about what you’ve accomplished; how you want to grow; the ideas you have; your philosophies. It is demonstrating through your words and your actions that you truly believe in what you do -- and where you work. That it matters to you. And that’s pretty cool.
Did we pique your interest?
If this sounds like the kind of job you would love in the kind of environment where you would thrive, please click apply. We'd love to hear from you!
